Forgot your password? How to reset it

Account

You can reset the password of an email-and-password account yourself. BYNAI sends a message to the email on the account and you choose a new password. This works only for accounts that sign in with email. Wallet and Telegram accounts do not have a login password to reset (see "Who can reset a password" below).

Where to start

  • In the sign-in window or on the Sign In page, click Forgot password? (next to the Password field).
  • Or open Reset Password directly.

Steps in the sign-in window

  1. The screen is titled Reset Password with the text "Enter your email to receive a verification code." Your email is filled in if you already typed it.
  2. Enter your Email and click Continue ("Sending..." while it works). A wrong format shows "Enter a valid email address".
  3. A Verification Code box appears: "Enter 6-digit code sent to your email". Open the email, then click Reset Password.
  4. The next screen says "Create a new password for your account." Fill in:
    • Verification Code (placeholder "6-digit code") – the code from the email. Leaving it empty shows "Enter the verification code".
    • New Password ("Enter your new password").
    • Confirm Password.
  5. Click Reset Password. On success you see "Password reset successfully".
  6. Click Back to sign in and sign in with the new password.

If you open the reset link from the email, the page opens straight on the new-password step with the code already filled in.

Choosing the new password

  • The new password must be at least 8 characters. The app's rule list is: "At least 8 characters", "One uppercase letter", "One lowercase letter", "One number".
  • A strength label shows Weak, Medium or Strong.
  • The form checks: "Password is required", "Password must be at least 8 characters", and "Passwords do not match".

  2. Confirm you typed the email you registered with.
  3. Go back and request again with the correct address.

Who can reset a password

  • Email account: yes, as above.
  • Wallet account: you sign in with a wallet signature, not a password. Linked email/phone on such an account are "for verification and notifications only".
  • Telegram account: you sign in with a code from the BYNAI bot.

After resetting

  • If you did not request a reset, check Account Security and contact Support.
  • You can change the password later while signed in: Account > Security > Change Password. That screen says "Do not share your password with anyone." and may ask for a verification code. After it succeeds: "Your password has been changed. Use your new password to sign in." If the current password is wrong: "Current password is incorrect".

FAQ

Will resetting my password log out my other devices? The app does not state this. Review your devices in Account > Security.

Can Support tell me my password? No. Nobody can. Never share your password, codes, seed phrase or private key.
