Order confirmation pop-up and the "Don't display again" option

Futures Trading

What it is

For some orders the app opens a confirmation window before it sends the order, so you can double-check the details. This article explains which orders show it, what it contains, and how the "do not show again" tick box works.

When the confirmation appears

Where you tradeOrder types that ask for confirmation
Desktop / tablet order formStop Limit and Stop Market orders.
Phone order panelStop Limit, Stop Market, and also Limit and Market orders.

Orders with Reduce Only follow the same rule as their order type. The confirmation appears only after the order passes the form's checks. If the form finds a problem, you see Order validation failed instead and no confirmation window.

On desktop, Limit and Market orders are sent immediately when you press Buy/Long or Sell/Short, so check the details carefully before pressing.

What the confirmation shows

The window shows the symbol with "Perp", then the side (Buy/Long or Sell/Short), then the order details. Rows that apply to your order are shown:

  • Order type name: Limit, Market, Stop Limit, Stop Market, Take Profit Limit or Take Profit Market. For a stop order the window may show the "Take Profit" name instead of "Stop" when your stop price is on the profit side of the current price for your direction.
  • Stop Price (stop orders)
  • Price (limit orders, and stop-limit orders). Market orders show Price as "Market price".
  • Amount
  • TIF (Limit orders)
  • Take Profit and Stop Loss (Limit and Market orders where TP/SL is ticked)
  • Reduce Only

Press Confirm to send the order. The button shows "Confirming..." while it works. Close the window to go back and change the order. Nothing is sent if you close it.

"Don't display again"

At the bottom of the window there is a tick box: "Don't display double confirmation for {orderType} orders again. You can adjust this in Preferences." The {orderType} shows the order's name.

  • If you tick the box and press Confirm, the app stops showing the confirmation for that group of orders.
  • There are two separate groups: (1) stop orders, and (2) Limit and Market orders (phone only). Skipping one group does not skip the other.
  • The choice is remembered in the browser you are using. It does not follow your account to another phone, computer or browser, and a different browser will show the confirmation again.
  • If you did not tick the box, the window appears every time.

Once skipped, pressing Buy/Long or Sell/Short sends the order at once. If you want the confirmation back and cannot find the setting in Preferences, contact Support.

Closing a position from the positions panel has its own confirmation, described in the article about closing positions.

FAQ

Why did I not get a confirmation on my Limit order? On desktop, only stop orders ask for confirmation. On phones, Limit and Market do too, unless you ticked the "do not show again" box earlier.

I ticked the box by mistake. How do I get the confirmation back? The pop-up text says you can adjust this in Preferences. If you cannot find a setting there, contact Support.

Does Confirm guarantee my order will fill? No. Confirm only sends the order. Whether it fills depends on the order type and the market. Check Open Orders and your positions afterwards.

When to contact Support

Include: the device (desktop or phone) and browser, the order type, the exact text of the confirmation, a screenshot, and what you expected to see.

Safety reminder

Read the side, price and amount in the confirmation before pressing Confirm. Never share your password, 2FA code, seed phrase or private key with anyone.
