Deposit statuses and network confirmations explained

What it is

After you send crypto to your BYNAI deposit address, the deposit goes through several steps before it is added to your balance. Each deposit in your history shows a coloured status label, and while it is still moving it can also show a confirmation counter.

Where to find it

  • Transaction History, tab Deposits (open it from the Transaction History link in the wallet menu).
  • The History tab of the Wallet pop-up (top bar Deposit button), which lists your latest deposits and has a View All link.

Confirmation counter

While a deposit is on its way, a small line under the status shows how many network confirmations it has:

  • "{received}/{required} confirmations" - for example, the number received so far out of the number required for that coin and network.
  • "{received} confirmations" - shown when the required number is not available. A missing required number is never shown as 0.

The number required for each network is also shown on the deposit page as Confirmations, next to Minimum Deposit. The counter stops being shown once the deposit has reached a final status.

Statuses

Awaiting confirmationsYour transfer was seen on the blockchain and is collecting confirmations. This label is also used while a transfer is first detected, and again if the network temporarily reorganises.Wait. The counter goes up by itself.
Under reviewThe deposit is being checked before it can be added to your account.Wait. You are notified when the review finishes. If it takes long, contact Support.
ProcessingConfirmations are complete and the deposit is about to be credited.Wait a short while; the status changes to Completed.
CompletedThe deposit was credited and is available in your Funding wallet.Nothing.
Funds heldThe deposit is held and was not credited.Contact Support with the details listed below.
ReversedThe deposit was reversed and not kept as a credit.Contact Support if you do not understand why.
RejectedThe deposit could not be credited.Contact Support.
InvalidatedThe deposit was invalidated and is not credited.Contact Support.
Status unavailableThe app could not read the status of this deposit.Refresh the page; if it stays, contact Support.

The reason behind a review, hold, reversal, rejection or invalidation is decided by the platform and is not shown in the app. The app shows only the status.

Notifications you may see

While you are signed in, messages appear on screen:

  • Deposit detected - "[amount] [coin] arrived on [network] and is waiting for network confirmations ([received]/[required]). We'll credit it automatically." (a shorter version without the counter is used when the counter is unknown).
  • Deposit credited - "[amount] [coin] is now available in your wallet."
  • Deposit on hold - "[amount] [coin] on [network] is being reviewed before it can be credited. We'll let you know when the review is done."
  • Deposit not credited - "[amount] [coin] on [network] could not be credited. Contact support if you need help."

Notifications are shown once per deposit step and are not repeated for old events. If you were offline, check the History tab instead.

Edge cases

  • The counter can go up quickly or slowly depending on the blockchain. A deposit that is stuck on "Awaiting confirmations" may simply be waiting for the network.
  • The Deposits tab and wallet pop-up refresh automatically while you stay on the page; use the Refresh button on the Transaction History page if it looks stale.
  • A deposit shown as Completed is already available in the Funding wallet, not in your futures wallet. Use Transfer to move it.

FAQ

Why does my deposit say Awaiting confirmations for a long time? The blockchain has not yet produced the required number of confirmations. Compare the counter with the required number.

What does Under review mean? An extra check is in progress. Nothing you did wrong is implied by the label itself.

Do I need to do anything when the status is Processing? No.

When to contact Support

Contact Support when a deposit shows Funds held, Reversed, Rejected, Invalidated or Status unavailable, or stays in Under review or Awaiting confirmations longer than expected. Include: coin, network, amount, TxID, deposit address, memo if any, time sent, the exact status text and a screenshot of the Deposits tab.

Safety reminder

Never share your password, 2FA code, seed phrase or private key. Support does not need them to look up a deposit.
