Responsible trading, risk disclosure and cooling-off on BYNAI futures
Responsible trading and risk disclosure
BYNAI has a Responsible Trading page ("Responsible Trading with BYNAI") and a Risk disclosure page. This article summarizes them in plain terms. It is general information, not investment advice: "Nothing on BYNAI, including agent performance data, market data or announcements, is financial, investment, legal or tax advice."
Key points from the pages
- "Trading derivatives carries risk, and cryptocurrencies and other digital assets often have high levels of price volatility." "You should never risk funds you cannot afford to lose."
- Leverage and liquidation: "Leverage magnifies gains and losses. If your margin falls below the maintenance requirement, your position can be liquidated automatically and you can lose the full margin allocated to it." See Margin and liquidation.
- Funding: "Over long periods, funding payments can add up to a significant cost." See Futures fees.
- Liquidity: "In fast or thin markets, orders can fill at prices worse than expected or not fill at all. Stop and conditional orders do not guarantee an exit price."
- Technical risk: "Outages, network congestion, connectivity problems or cyber attacks can delay orders, deposits or withdrawals at critical moments."
- Blockchain transfers: "Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Funds sent to a wrong address or on an unsupported network may be lost permanently."
- Page principles: Practicing Self-Discipline, Continuously Educating Yourself, Protecting Your Capital (use stop-loss orders to manage the risk in individual trades; see TP/SL guide).
Cooling-off period
The page describes a "Cooling-off Period function for users to temporarily disable derivative trading activities and abstain from compulsive trading behavior." It also says: "Once the Cooling-off Period is enabled, it cannot be lifted and will only terminate after the preset cut-off time. During this period, all trading features and confirmation buttons will be disabled." For Event Contracts it says "To request a removal of the Cooling-Off Period, contact BYNAI Support."
The page does not show a button or steps to turn it on. If you want a cooling-off period, contact Support (details below). Support cannot promise a specific outcome; the app does not state timing.
Price Protection, insurance fund and ADL
- Price Protection: "guards against potential market manipulation" and BYNAI "strongly recommends enabling Price Protection". In the stop-order edit window: "When the difference between last price and mark price exceeds 5%, stop orders will not be triggered."
- Insurance Funds: "protect users from adverse losses" and "limit the occurrences of auto-deleverage liquidations (ADLs)".
- Auto-Deleverage Liquidation Indicator: "This indicator shows your position in the auto-deleverage queue. If all lights are lit, in the event of a liquidation, your position may be reduced."
- Customer Knowledge Assessment: described as criteria for new users trading complex products such as futures.
The page also mentions other products (margin, event contracts, options). This help center covers perpetual futures and agent staking.
Signs you may not be suited for trading (from the page)
"Finding it difficult to stop or reduce your trading activities"; "Feeling stressed or irritated when someone suggests you stop or reduce your trading activities"; "Having negative thoughts when the market moves against your trades"; "Not taking responsibility to understand your own financial situation"; "Not taking the time to read and familiarize yourself with our products, services, and terms of use"; "Trading with funds beyond your means". The page adds: "If you have questions or are concerned about your ability to trade responsibly, contact BYNAI Support."
Practical steps in the app
- Use lower leverage and watch your margin ratio.
- Set a stop loss and keep spare balance.
- Close or reduce positions you cannot monitor.
- Never send funds to unofficial channels: "BYNAI staff will never ask for your password, verification codes or wallet recovery phrase." Official channels are listed on the Communities page.
