Understanding futures orders
Limit and market orders
A limit order lets you specify the price at which you want to trade. It may remain open until the market reaches that price, be partially filled, or be canceled. A market order asks to execute against available liquidity at the time it is accepted, so the final execution price can differ from the price you saw before submitting it.
Check your order
Open your current futures orders and review the order details, status, filled quantity, remaining quantity, and any cancellation or rejection message shown there. If an order is not visible, check that you are viewing the correct account, market, and order history before submitting another order.
Order status and execution depend on current market conditions and available liquidity. This article does not promise execution, price, or outcome.
