Verification codes at sign-in and sign-up (Security Verification)
Verification codes at sign-in and sign-up
After you enter your credentials, BYNAI may open a Security Verification screen ("Complete security verification to continue"). This is the MFA (multi-factor) step. Which checks you must pass depends on your account's security settings and on what the platform requires; the screen lists exactly the steps you must complete.
What the screen shows
- A progress label ("Verification progress", "Verifying {current} of {total}") and, if there are several checks, "Complete all verification steps below" with each method listed:
- Authenticator App (TOTP) – "Enter 6-digit code from authenticator"
- Email Verification – "Enter 6-digit code sent to your email"
- SMS Verification – "Enter 6-digit code sent via SMS"
- The place the code was sent, for example "Code sent to {email}" or "Code sent to {phone}" (the platform decides how the address or number is displayed).
- A Back to sign in button (while signing up the button is Back).
Steps
- Click the method you want to complete. For email and SMS, BYNAI sends the code automatically ("Sending verification code..."). You see "Verification code sent" or "Verification code sent to ...".
- Type the 6-digit code ("6-digit code" is the placeholder). For the authenticator method, read the current code from your authenticator app. It changes regularly, so enter the one currently shown.
- Click Verify ("Verifying..." while it works).
- Repeat for any other listed method. When all are done you see "Verification complete" and "Redirecting to your account...", then "Signed in successfully" (sign-in) or "Account created successfully" (sign-up).
The code did not arrive
- Check the spam/junk folder and that the address shown in "Code sent to ..." is the one you can read.
- Wait for the countdown "Resend in {seconds}s". The resend timer is 60 seconds. When it ends, click Resend Code ("Didn't receive the code?" → Resend).
- For SMS, check that your phone has signal and that the number shown is correct.
- Always enter the most recent code you received, not an older one.
- If sending fails you see "Failed to send verification code". Wait a minute and use Resend again.
- Still stuck? Click Back to sign in and start again.

The app does not state what happens when the attempts run out or how long a block lasts. If you are blocked, contact Support.
Authenticator app tips
- Make sure your phone's clock is automatically set; a wrong clock makes valid-looking codes fail.
- If you lost your authenticator, some settings screens offer "Lost access to authenticator? Use backup code" and accept one of your 8-character backup codes. Whether that option is available at sign-in depends on the screen; if you cannot sign in, contact Support.
FAQ
Do I always get a verification screen? No. It appears only when your account or the action requires it.
Can I use a different method than the one shown? You complete the methods listed on the screen. Contact Support if you have lost access to one.
Is the code the same as my password? No. Never share a code, your password, seed phrase or private key with anyone, including people claiming to be BYNAI staff.
When to contact Support
Include your account email (not password), which method fails (authenticator, email or SMS), the exact message, the time, and a screenshot. Do not send the code itself.
